EPSILON strain gauge system

Destined for measurements and procession of signals of strain gauges and strain gauge dynamometers at studies of structures for strength and durability.

The system contains modules of commutation and normalization of signals of sensors (MCN) located near the object of research or in a hall of a measurement station and subsystem of information acquisition and procession.

  • Number of strain gauge bridges of dynamometers, connected to MCN: <=64
  • Number of MCN in a system: <=16
  • Limit main error of signals measurement, %
    • Strain gauges: 0,5
    • Strain gauge bridges: 0,25
  • Measurement rate, sensors per second: 1000
  • Nominal values of resistances of strain gauges and measurement ranges are stated in a Technical Task on a system.

In MCN sources of control signals are installed, allowing control of measurement errors during the test process.

Metrological provision means included in a system and controlled by a computer allow conduction of operative system check before tests.

System is made basing of new technical solutions and modern element base.

Software package of a system provides:

  • Control of system units;
  • Control of measurement errors;
  • Procession of information supplied from single strain gauges, rosette-type strain gauges and strain gauge bridges;
  • Presentation of information in a required form;
  • Automation of system tests and procession of the metrological information.

In 2003 certification tests of a system "Epsilon" were conducted for the type certification and the system was included into the State Register of measurement means (# 25770-03).
