MK-10 Airplanes take off and landing simulator

Date of putting into operation: 1987

State of operation: active

General Description: Flight simulation MK-10 with a fixed cockpit is designed to simulate the flight modes, that require accurate dilation (take off and landing on a runway, take-off from a ramp, landing on a deck, refuelling in air, air-to-air recovery) with the purpose to investigate controllability, to work out airplanes control systems, and pilot personnel training.

Capabilities:

Cockpit:

a mock-up of a manoeuvrable airplane cockpit with electromechanical flight instruments.

Control levers;

  • the central control column and pedals with a spring system of loads application and trimming mechanism;
  • engine control levers.

    Image Generator:
  • a collimation system of a synthesized surroundings image consisting of a coloured graphical display with high resolution capacity and spherical mirror, providing for the reflection of take-off-landing devices or docking or pick-up objects. For the purpose of landing on a deck superstructures, light signals of the deck landing systems, trail behind a ship stern, horizon line. Horizontal and vertical view field is 20o. Variation of heading roll and pitch angles is unlimited.

    Digital computer complex:
  • upper level computer;
  • 2 lower lever computers
  • analogue data acquisition system, including 72 channels of Digital Analogue Transducer and 5 channels of
  • Analogue Dig Transducer.

    Practical use:

    Working our of controllability characteristics of existing and advanced manoeuvrable airplanes.
