15, October. The Fourth Workshop EU-Russia Cooperation in Aeronautics Research was opened in Moscow

The workshop was held in the Mariott Grand Hotel

Researchers from the European countries, Russia and the near-abroad countries contributed to the forum

Chairperson: Ludmilla Rostovtseva, Head of the Aviation Industry Strategy Development Department of the Ministry for Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation opened the plenary session

Panel members made their welcome addresses: Sergey Chernyshev, Director General of TsAGI; Аndrás Siegler, RDT-Transport, EC and Daniel Chiron, Deputy Head of Aeronautics Department, DG, EC

Vitaly Naryshkin, Deputy Director on Design-Chief Designer of MS-21 Program, Irkut Corporation opened the plenary reports (MS-21 — a new generation civil jet of the joint Russian aeronautics industry)

Michael Schoenwetter, Head of R&D Partnership Management, Airbus, made the representation of the Airbus A350XWB Project

Victor Subbotin, Deputy Director General, Sukhoi Aviation Holding Company, focused on the benefits of the global cooperation and cited the Superjet 100 Program

Isabelle Dubois, R&T Program Manager, Snecma, spoke on Achievements and Perspectives of the Safran and Russian Partners R&T collaboration in the field of Engine Technologies

Daniel Chiron represented the Clean Sky JTI as a new European R&T collaboration level

Alexander Belenkiy, IBD, Head, Russian Aeronautics National Contact Point, expanded on the topics and the participation rules within the coordinated EU-Russia FP7 Call

Daniel Chiron recounted the concept of joint EU-Russian evaluations and evaluation rules and procedures within FP7

Sergey Fominykh, Head of the Aviation Industry Department, Ministry for Industry and Trade of the Russian federation, spoke on evaluation rules and procedures of public RTD support in Russian Aviation

Tatiana Kozubskaya, Institute for Math Modeling informed participants on the experiences of Russian evaluators in FP7 projects evaluation

CEOs of the Russian Aviation Industry, the EC Agencies, as well as representatives of the major research centers and aerospace firms of Russia and of Europe took part in the Workshop
