The Workshop was organized by the Central Aerohydrodynamic Institute named after prof. N.E. Zhukovsky (TsAGI) and the State Research Institute of Aviation Systems (GosNIIAS) under support of the Ministry of Industry and Trade (Minpromtorg of Russia) and the Federal Air Navigation Authority (Rosaeronavigation). The major research institutes and industrial companies within the ATM contributed to the Workshop.

The holders of "Conceptions and Technologies of Air Traffic Management" II International Workshop selected the following trends for consideration: communication, navigation, surveillance and safety.

During the Workshop opening, the following VIPs made gave presentations: Sergey Zheltov, Director of GosNIIAS; Sergey Chenyshev, Director General of TsAGI; and Valery Sukhanov, Deputy Director of TsAGI

More than 80 specialists from major Russian research institutes in the area of aeronavigation, as well as representatives of state universities took part in the Workshop
