XVII School-Seminar of Young Scientists and Specialists under the leadership of RAS academician, professor A.I. Leontiev

Within the frame of Russian Academy of Sciencies (RAS) Presidium Target Program "Young scientists support".

We are pleased to invite you to take part in XVII School-Seminar of young scientists and specialists under the leadership of the Academician, Professor A.I. LEONTIEV "PROBLEMS OF HEAT AND MASS TRANSFER AND GAS DYNAMICS IN AEROSPACE TECHNOLOGY".

The School-Seminar of young scientists and specialists under the leadership of RAS Academician, A.I. Leontiev is held once per two years since 1977.

The School-Seminar joints the young researchers, the engineers and the leading scientists, who are engaged in heat and mass transfer area. It enables the open discussing the obtained results and predicting the trends of the advanced development.

The students, the graduates, the young scientists and engineers of the age up to 35 years can take part in the School-Seminar events.

The School-Seminar will be held May 25—29, 2009 based on the Central Aerohydrodynamic Institute named after Professor N.E. Zhukovsky (TsAGI) and Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, Department of Aeromechanics and Flight Engineering Faculty (MIPT DAFE) in Zhukovsky.

The fundamental heat and mass transfer problems, the gas dynamics problems as well as the issues of applied nature are assumed to be considered.

School-Seminar scope:

  • Gas dynamics for outer aircraft airflow.
  • Heat transfer and aircraft and its components heat protection.
  • High-temperature materials and structures within the gas flow.
  • Gas dynamics, heat and mass transfer within the flow passages.
  • Carburetion and combustion procedures.
  • Boundary layer, flows of separation, flow stability and laminar-turbulent transition, flow control.
  • Interacting and radiating gas flow aero physics.
  • Air flow and heat and mass transfer of low density gas
  • Air flow and heat and mass transfer in polyphase medium and in aero dispersive flow over a body.
  • Methods of experiment and diagnostics.
  • Computational aerothermodynamics.
  • Environmental tasks (emissions, noise level, sonic boom etc).
