Russia’s Air Fleet Day: TsAGI For Domestic Aircraft Industry
16 August 2024
On August 18, Russia is to celebrate the Air Fleet Day, the professional holiday for all those having a lifelong love towards the sky.
Aviation development is impossible without innovative concepts, breakthrough technologies and advanced developments by core industrial enterprises, such as TsAGI (a part of NRC “Zhukovsky Institute”).
In particular, TsAGI focuses on implementing the national policy of boosting domestic research-and-technology capacities. A defense enterprise, TsAGI is involved in creating advanced aircraft and rotorcraft engineering projects.
Under its import-substitution policy, TsAGI strives for implementing domestic aircraft industrial flagship projects, SJ‑100 and MC‑21. It is involved in a number of activities aimed to create these aircraft, such as research into aerodynamics, strength, flight dynamics, etc. So TsAGI does its best to make the aircraft take to the skies as soon as possible.
TsAGI also works on new‑generation regional and transport aircraft projects, creation of advanced aircraft, including unmanned and supersonic ones. It keeps shaping the R&T advance that should determine the concept of tomorrow’s aviation. It upgrades its large-scale test facilities, always ready to the ultimately challenging aircraft tests.
Air transport is the key driver of domestic economic development and a booster of its defense capacities. The fundamental research legacy and cutting‑edge innovative methods can easily shape the future of aircraft industry. TsAGI persistently focuses on these tasks aimed at domestic well‑being.
