OrganizerThe Central Aerohydrodynamic Institute named after prof. N.E. Zhukovsky (part of National Research Center „Institute named after N.E. Zhukovsky”) celebrates in 2018 its centenary. TsAGI is the world’s leading state-owned scientific center of aviation and space-rocket research. It is an entity of the Russian Federation where the most complicated problems are solved of a fundamental and applied nature in the field of aero- and hydro-dynamics, aeroacoustics, flight dynamics and aerial vehicle structural strength, as well as industrial aerodynamics. The Institute possesses unique experimental facilities and expertise, meeting the highest international requirements. In addition, TsAGI carries out through examinations of all aerial platforms developed in Russia’s design bureaus and provides final safety conclusions of their maiden flights. High scientific research potential of its experts and unique experimental basis allowed TsAGI to firmly establish itself as an equal partner in scientific cooperation. TsAGI regularly carries out Russian and international scientific actions, ranging from meetings on international projects to full-scale scientific forums (up to 900 participants) such as congresses, forums, conferences, seminars, receptions of official delegations, working meetings and negotiations. TsAGI is an organizer of the International hydroaeroshow scientific program. Among unique actions organized by TsAGI is the summit of the International forum on aerospace research (IFAR) with the participation of the leaders of world’s leading scientific centers from 23 countries. As a result of winning international tenders, TsAGI carried out — for the first time in Russia — the congress of the International Council on Aerospace Sciences (ICAS) (900 participants) and International Forum on Structural Aeroelasticity and Dynamics (IFASD) (250 participants). |
