TsAGI Employees Get Honorable Awards Timed to the Institute’s 105th Anniversary

Creating modern civil aircraft, providing flight safety, solving key RPAS challenges, and doing fundamental research are the core domestic aircraft industry development areas which are closely related to TsAGI (a part of NRC “Zhukovsky Institute”) activities. On December 1, TsAGI celebrated its 105th Anniversary. Zhukovsky Municipal Cultural Center held a solemn meeting on the occasion where high awards were given to the best employees.

The meeting was opened by Kirill Sypalo, Director General at TsAGI and Corresponding Member of the RAS: ‘TsAGI was created by great scientists, engineers, and real devotees as the country faced the era of changes. TsAGI became a driver of the transformations that provided the country with a revolutionary development. From its very foundation, TsAGI became unique and responsible by completing the tasks necessary for the Motherland, its well-being and security. After 105 years since its foundation, TsAGI has conducted this mission.’

During the ceremony, TsAGI employees were given a number of state, regional and departmental awards. The title of Honored Scientist of the Moscow Region was given to Kirill Sypalo, Director General at TsAGI. The title of Honorary Aircraft Manufacturer was given to Aleksandr Medvedsky, First Deputy General Director at TsAGI. Russian Federation Presidential Certificate of Gratitude was awarded to Elena Pudalova, Head for Advanced Development, TsAGI.

Some of the employees were honored with awards of Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation—Mikhail Kalashnikov Medal and the Medal for Strengthening Military Cooperation. A Young Scientist Badge of Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation was given to nine under-35 employees involved in active research at TsAGI.
