The first issue of the TsAGI Science Journal published

The first issue of the TsAGI Science Journal was published in early January. It is an English version of TsAGI Proceedings. The TsAGI Science Journal presentation took place within the 48th AIAA Aerospace Conference, (Orlando, USA).

The principle focus of the journal is to publish the results of scientific activities of Russian researchers that may be used as a basis for efficient applied approaches to compute and design unique aircraft. The main topics of the issue are the physical and mathematical simulations of real processes, numeral methods and algorithms, as well as optimization challenges.

The TsAGI Science Journal publishes scientific articles both of TsAGI specialists and of those from various organizations that are engaged in mechanics and control processes within the fundamental and applied problems, as well as within the problems that are related to the progress in aeronautics and astronautics and industrial aerodynamics and rapid hydrodynamics. Journal topics may cover problems of aerodynamics and high-speed hydrodynamics, flight mechanics, fluid (or gas), plasma, strain mechanics, strength, solid and structures vibrations induced by various aerohydrodynamic and thermal phenomena, etc.

Beginning in 2010 the TsAGI Science Journal will be included in the great publisher’s list of scientific literature of the Begelle House Publish Company that is disseminated around the world (universities, scientific laboratories and aerospace companies), both in hard copies and CD. The editorial board under the leadership of S.L. Chernyshev remains unchanged. The newly elected International Executive Editorial Advisors from five countries (USA, France, Germany, China and Japan) constitute the editorial staff for the English version. Each Advisor supervises a specific thematic area within the TsAGI Science Journal that is issued once every two months and is intended for researches, scientists and engineers.
